• Specification

High density polyethylene (HDPE), It is nontoxic, tasteless, with crystallinity of 80% - 90% and softening point of 125-l 35 ℃, the use temperature can reach 100 ℃; good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness and cold resistance; good chemical stability, insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, resistant to acid, alkali and all kinds of salt corrosion; small permeability of the film to water vapor and air, low water absorption; low thermal deformation temperature of high-density polyethylene film under stress, so attention should be paid when applying.

• Description

Basic characteristics: HDPE is a kind of opaque white wax material, the specific gravity is lighter than water, the specific gravity is 0.941 ~ 0.960, soft and ductile, but slightly harder than LDPE, and slightly elongated, non-toxic and tasteless.

Main advantages: acid and alkali resistance, organic solvent resistance, excellent electrical insulation, low temperature, can still maintain a certain toughness. The surface hardness, tensile strength, rigidity and other mechanical strength of LDPE are higher than that of LDPE, close to that of PP, which is tougher than PP, but the surface finish is not as good as PP.

Main disadvantages: poor mechanical performance, poor ventilation, easy deformation, easy aging, brittle, brittleness lower than PP, easy stress cracking, low surface hardness, easy scratching. It is difficult to print. When printing, it needs surface discharge treatment. It cannot be electroplated and the surface is lusterless.
