Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a kind of polymer prepared by polymerization of polytetrafluoroethylene as monomer. White waxy, translucent, heat-resistant and cold resistant. It can be used for a long time at - 180-260 ℃. This kind of material has the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance, resistance to various organic solvents, and almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, polytetrafluoroethylene has the characteristics of high temperature resistance.

1,High temperature resistance - operating temperature up to 260 ℃.

2,Low temperature resistance - good mechanical toughness; 5% elongation can be maintained even when the temperature drops to - 180 ℃.

3,Corrosion resistance - for most chemicals and solvents, it is inert, resistant to strong acids and bases, water and various organic solvents.

4,Weather resistant - has the best aging life in plastics.

5,High lubrication - the lowest friction coefficient of solid materials.

6,Non adhesion - it is the smallest surface tension in solid materials. It does not adhere to any substance. Its mechanical properties have a very small friction coefficient, only 1 / 5 of polyethylene, which is an important feature of perfluorocarbon surface. Because of the low intermolecular force between fluorine and carbon chain, polytetrafluoroethylene has no viscosity.
