Feeding: The raw materials, typically limestone and clay or shale, are mixed and finely ground to form the raw meal. This raw meal is then fed into the cement kiln for further processing.

Grinding: The raw meal is introduced into the cement ball mill along with grinding media, usually steel balls. The rotation of the mill causes the grinding media to cascade and tumble within the mill, crushing and grinding the raw meal into fine powder.

Temperature Control: During the grinding process, heat is generated due to friction and the grinding of the raw materials. To prevent excessive heat buildup, water or air may be injected into the mill to control the temperature. This is crucial to avoid damaging the quality of the cement.

Separation: Once the raw meal is ground to the desired fineness, it is transported to a separator where coarse particles are separated from the fine particles. The fine particles, which are the cement powder, are collected as the final product, while the coarse particles are returned to the mill for further grinding.

Storage and Packaging: The final cement powder is stored in silos before being transported to packaging facilities. Here, it is packaged into bags or bulk containers for distribution to construction sites or other users.
